week 2 - Visual library and idea generation

Design Processes:  Ideate, making, Critique, Understand

In class we presented our collected research and visual library's and 
combined our material in pairs, sorting them into categories of themes, 
tangibles and metaphors giving us a solid base to generate ideas using 
the different forms of information.

once the information was assembled we mocked-up 6 posters as a pair,
 making sure to use visual rhetoric techniques. i then headed home to generate 
more ideas ready to present to the class on Tuesday. as a class we presented 
our new set of work and discussed them, giving feedback
after some feedback i learned that i should begin focusing on an angle to 
portray, remembering to represent the consequences as well.

Week 1 - brief and research

Design Processes: Understand, Define, Ideate, Critique 

Our first class we went over the brief to gain an understanding of our 
objectives and requirements and topics. we were introduced to to Ihi 
Wehi and the rhetoric modes of persuasion. i went out to the city to explore 
some Iih Wehi in the environment with some minor success. further research 
into voting for and against was gathered via the web to prepare for tuesday. 

our second class we practiced brainstorming and mind maps as a class 
before breaking into groups to brainstorm ideas to help define a topic, 
before presenting to the class.
